Description

The Director of Inside Sales is responsible for overall sales results and growth in the United States and Canada. You will establish plans and direct all sales and pipeline development activities including forecasts and lead development, in addition to implementing tactical and strategic activities aimed at exceeding the company’s revenue and new business goals.

You will manage a team of Inside Sales Reps/Solution Specialists, where you will be responsible for establishing best of breed lead development techniques, ongoing staff training and education, and the implementation of best practice sales processes and procedures.

The Director's objectives will also include a quota for new business.

Specifically you will:

  • Be accountable for sales execution and delivery to our revenue goals
  • Drive new business growth through collaboration with marketing and our go-to-market activities
  • Expand revenue in existing accounts through upgrade and cross-sell activities
  • Establish key sales metrics, measuring the sales process to develop benchmarks for performance
  • Assess and define an optimal inside sales organization structure and processes
  • Coach, mentor, and instill best practices amongst the sales reps to enable a robust and consistent sales process
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management and support leaders to ensure optimal support of sales activity
  • Recognize and celebrate wins; foster an execution focused environment that recognizes results

SKILLS

  • 5+ years leading a sales organization delivering B2B or B2C software solutions
  • Results driven; consistently achieves expected results at an individual and team level.
  • Experience developing and implementing best in class sales processes and performance metrics
  • Collaborative; team player
  • Experience with eCommerce is ideal
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and networking abilities with internal and external contacts
  • Able to execute tactically as well as strategically
  • Self-managed and self-motivated; able to perform job requirements with minimal amount of supervision
