This Director of Sales position requires a professional with a unique understanding of the Automotive Sales and Marketing operations and strategy. Minimum of 5 years experience as Director of Sales in the Auto Sales Industry.  This is a very fast paced environment and the right person will need to be able to multi task and be able to manage a group of over 20 employees in the Long Island City location. They will be managing Business Development staff, customer service staff; as well as, reaching sales goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing sales force-- 15 to 20 employees, ensuring all their daily appointments deliver a "close" on deals, demonstrating leadership and motivation.
  • Manages the Business Development Department
  • Manages inventory of cars on lot
  • Must have ability to "close" his/her own deals as well as sales force deals, as needed
  • Ability to manage on-line sales — 30 sales/month minimum
  • Manages the marketing and social media strategy
  • Oversees the Customer Service Department
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed customer based expansion
  • Creates and achieves sales goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Excellence and attention to detail, highly organized
  • Ability to effectively lead, direct and train sales staff to "deliver"
  • Proficient and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to create and present PowerPoint presentations
  • Highly conscientious, with the ability to prioritize according to deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to lead special projects as assigned

This position requires the following technical skills:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience, as a Director of Sales in the Automotive Sales Industry.
  • Three years in management position leading a large staff.
  • Strong knowledge Excel Spreadsheets, Word and Outlook, Power point presentations

**Minimum of a Bachelor's in Marketing preferred**
